Wed 02/14/18 - Santiago (San Antonio), Chile and disembarking

The Emerald Princess docked at port San Antonio earlier.  This port is about 2 1/2 hours away from Santiago airport.  Since our flight was an evening flight.  We decided to join Princess excursion Disembarking Passengers Tour - Valparaiso, Viña del Mar & Lunch at Olmue.

Valparaiso is an UNISCO site and Vina del Mar is a resort town just half hour drive from Valparaiso.  We thought the UNISCO site should be worth to see, therefore we joined this tour.  However, it was a total waste of time.  There is nothing in Valparaiso.  We had hard time to even find some nice photo opportunities.

There is a flower clock in the center of Vina del Mar and there is also a Moai monumental statues located in the front yard of Museo Fonck.  There are only 2 of the Moai statues outside of the Easter Island before they became a UNISCO site.  One is in England and the other one is here.
Then, we had a typical Chilean BBQ in the Las Montanas de Olmue Resrot and Conference Center in the resort town of Olmue.
Our guide also took us to walk to the town center of Olmue to stretch our legs after the long bus ride.  It is a very small town, but the walk was very pleasant.
Then, we went straight to Santiago airport before even seeing the city of Santiago.  The wait and flight back to Houston was non-eventful.
